The Loara High School Girls Volleyball Program couldn’t have asked for a better start to their season. Facing Long Beach Jordan, the Saxons put on a clinic across all levels—Frosh/Soph, Junior Varsity, and Varsity—delivering a clean sweep without dropping a single set. It was a dominant performance that set the tone for what promises to be an exciting season ahead.
The Frosh/Soph squad wasted no time in making a statement. In the opening set, they stormed out to a commanding lead and never looked back, closing the set with an incredible 25-3 score. The energy was electric as the young Saxons kept their foot on the gas, executing sharp serves, smart passes, and powerful attacks. Their focus and composure were remarkable for such a young team, and the victory in straight sets was a testament to their preparation and teamwork. For many of these athletes, it was their first taste of high school competition, and they delivered in emphatic fashion.
Junior Varsity followed suit, showcasing consistency and control from the first serve to the final point. In both sets, the JV Saxons played with confidence and precision, maintaining steady leads and keeping Long Beach Jordan on the defensive. Clean passing allowed the offense to stay in rhythm, and the team’s communication on the court ensured that every ball was contested. The 2–0 victory was not only a confidence boost but also a strong example of the program’s depth and commitment to excellence.
Varsity capped off the day with a performance that left no doubt about their potential this season. The Saxons came out aggressive, using strong serves and quick offensive transitions to dictate the pace. Each set built on the last, with the team’s chemistry and energy growing point by point. In the decisive third set, the Saxons closed it out with a commanding 25–10 win, sealing the sweep for the entire program. From defensive digs to perfectly placed kills, every aspect of their game clicked.
What made the day even more special was that every level contributed to the program’s first “perfect” sweep of the year. Not a single set was lost across nine total played, an achievement that speaks volumes about the coaching, preparation, and dedication of all the athletes involved. The clean sweep also highlights the depth of talent in the program, showing that success isn’t limited to just one level but is being built from the ground up.
With this strong start, the Loara Girls Volleyball Program is setting high expectations for the season ahead. The players are not only competing for wins but also building a culture of discipline, teamwork, and pride in the Saxon name. As the season progresses, fans can look forward to more exciting matches, fierce rallies, and memorable moments from a program that clearly has its sights set on greatness.
If the opening sweep over Long Beach Jordan is any indication, this year’s team is ready to make noise in their league, and they’ve only just begun.
