The Saxons gathered in the Quad this past week for an unforgettable Pep Rally that set the tone for the 2025 Homecoming season.
Pep Rally Highlights
The event opened with an energetic performance by the Saxon Cheerleaders, who got the crowd on their feet while showing support for our athletic teams—especially as Football prepares for the big game against Godinez. A crowd-favorite game of “Finish the Lyric” had students sprinting from the steps of the Quad to the stage to sing along to some of today’s most popular songs, bringing lots of laughs and school spirit.
Homecoming Theme Announcement
The loudest cheer of the day came when our beloved mascot, Sammy Saxon, made the official announcement of this year’s Homecoming theme:
“Coraline – Through the Little Door.” This creative and spooky-fun theme will shape the decorations, spirit days, and the big dance coming later this fall.
Nominee Reveal
Sammy Saxon also revealed the highly anticipated Homecoming Nominees. Voting begins on Monday, August 25, 2025, so make sure your voice is heard!

What’s Next
With the theme set and nominees announced, Saxons are gearing up for spirit days, the football showdown against Godinez, which Saxons won 7 – 6, and, of course, Homecoming night itself.
The Homecoming Court winners will be announced at the Homecoming Assembly on September 5, 2025. The newly crowned winners will also take center stage as part of the halftime show when Loara faces Beverly Hills High School in the Homecoming Game that same evening.
